tvayādīrgha-samīkṣayā

vṛtā vayaḿ guṇair hīnā

bhikṣubhiḥ ślāghitā mudhā

vaidarbhi -- O princess of Vidarbha; etat -- this; avijnaya -- not knowing; tvaya -- by you; adirgha-samikshaya -- without long-range vision; vritah -- chosen; vayam -- We; gunaih -- of good qualities; hinah -- devoid; bhikshubhih -- by beggars; slaghitah -- praised; mudha -- out of their bewilderment.
