tām āsādya varārohāḿ
su-dvijāḿ rucirānanām
papraccha preṣitaḥ sakhyā
phālgunaḥ pramadottamām
tam -- her; asadya -- approaching; vara -- excellent; aroham -- whose hips; su -- fine; dvijam -- whose teeth; rucira -- attractive; ananam -- whose face; papraccha -- inquired; preshitah -- sent; sakhya -- by his friend, Sri Krishna; phalgunah -- Arjuna; pramada -- the woman; uttamam -- extraordinary.
Krishna wanted Arjuna to see the deep devotion of this girl, and thus He urged him to make the initial inquiries.
