yuñjānānām abhaktānāḿ

prāṇāyāmādibhir manaḥ

akṣīṇa-vāsanaḿ rājan

dṛśyate punar utthitam

yunjananam -- who are engaging themselves; abhaktanam -- of nondevotees; pranayama -- with pranayama (yogic breath control); adibhih -- and other practices; manah -- the minds; akshina -- not eliminated; vasanam -- the last traces of whose material desire; rajan -- O King (Mucukunda); drisyate -- is seen; punah -- again; utthitam -- waking (to thoughts of sense gratification).


Texto

The minds of nondevotees who engage in such practices as pranayama are not fully cleansed of material desires. Thus, O King, material desires are again seen to arise in their minds.
