śrī-śuka uvāca

evaḿ prasāditaḥ kṛṣṇo

bhagavān īśvareśvaraḥ

ādāyāgāt sva-pitaraḿ

bandhūnāḿ cāvahan mudam

sri-sukah uvaca -- Sri Sukadeva Gosvami said; evam -- thus; prasaditah -- satisfied; krishnah -- Lord Krishna; bhagavan -- the Supreme Personality of Godhead; isvara -- of all controllers; isvarah -- the supreme controller; adaya -- taking; agat -- went; sva-pitaram -- His father; bandhunam -- to His relatives; ca -- and; avahan -- bringing; mudam -- pleasure.


Texto

Sukadeva Gosvami said: Thus satisfied by Lord Varuna, Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord of lords, took His father and returned home, where their relatives were overjoyed to see them.

Significado

In this pastime, Lord Krishna gives a sublime demonstration of His position as the Supreme Lord of all lords. Varuna, the demigod of the seas, is most powerful, yet he was happy to worship even Lord Krishna's father, what to speak of Krishna Himself.
