शकृन्मूत्रनिरोधोऽभूत् सैनिकानां च तत्क्षणात् ।
राजर्षिस्तमुपालक्ष्य पुरुषान् विस्मितोऽब्रवीत् ॥५॥

śakṛn-mūtra-nirodho 'bhūt
sainikÄnÄá¹ ca tat-ká¹£aṇÄt
rÄjará¹£is tam upÄlaká¹£ya
puruá¹£Än vismito 'bravÄ«t

 Å›aká¹›t - of stool; mÅ«tra - and of urine; nirodhaḥ - stoppage; abhÅ«t - so became; sainikÄnÄm - of all the soldiers; ca - and; tat-ká¹£aṇÄt - immediately; rÄjará¹£iḥ - the King; tam upÄlaká¹£ya - seeing the incident; puruá¹£Än - to his men; vismitaḥ - being surprised; abravÄ«t - began to speak.

Thereupon, all the soldiers of ÅšaryÄti were immediately obstructed from passing urine and stool. Upon perceiving this, ÅšaryÄti spoke to his associates in surprise.
