इति लोकाद् बहुमुखाद् दुराराध्यादसंविदः ।
पत्या भीतेन सा त्यक्ता प्राप्ता प्राचेतसाश्रमम् ॥१०॥

patyÄ bhÄ«tena sÄ tyaktÄ
prÄptÄ prÄcetasÄÅ›ramam

 iti - thus; lokÄt - from persons; bahu-mukhÄt - who can talk nonsensically in various ways; durÄrÄdhyÄt - whom it is very difficult to stop; asaá¹vidaḥ - who are without full knowledge; patyÄ - by the husband; bhÄ«tena - being afraid;  - mother SÄ«tÄ; tyaktÄ - was abandoned; prÄptÄ - went; prÄcetasa-ÄÅ›ramam - to the hermitage of PrÄcetasa (VÄlmÄ«ki Muni).

Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said: Men with a poor fund of knowledge and a heinous character speak nonsensically. Fearing such rascals, Lord RÄmacandra abandoned His wife, SÄ«tÄdevÄ«, although she was pregnant. Thus SÄ«tÄdevÄ« went to the ÄÅ›rama of VÄlmÄ«ki Muni.
