पुराणसंहितां दिव्यां सांख्ययोगक्रियावतीम् ।
सत्यव्रतस्य राजर्षेरात्मगुह्यमशेषतः ॥५५॥

 purÄṇa - the subject matter explained in the PurÄṇas, the old histories, especially the Matsya PurÄṇa; saá¹hitÄm - the Vedic instructions contained in Brahma-saá¹hitÄ and other saá¹hitÄs; divyÄm - all transcendental literatures; sÄá¹…khya - the philosophical way of sÄá¹…khya-yoga; yoga - the science of self-realization or bhakti-yoga; kriyÄvatÄ«m - practically applied in life; satyavratasya - of King Satyavrata; rÄja-ṛṣeḥ - the great king and saint; Ätma-guhyam - all the mysteries of self-realization; aÅ›eá¹£ataḥ - including all branches.

The Supreme Personality of Godhead thus explained to King Satyavrata the spiritual science known as sÄá¹…khya-yoga, the science by which one distinguishes between matter and spirit [in other words, bhakti-yoga], along with the instructions contained in the PurÄṇas [the old histories] and the saá¹hitÄs. The Lord explained Himself in all these literatures.
