श्रीशुक उवाच
तस्येत्थं भाषमाणस्य प्रह्रादो भगवत्प्रियः ।
आजगाम कुरुश्रेष्ठ राकापतिरिवोत्थितः ॥१२॥

Å›rÄ«-Å›uka uvÄca
tasyetthaá¹ bhÄá¹£amÄṇasya
prahrÄdo bhagavat-priyaḥ
ÄjagÄma kuru-Å›reṣṭha
rÄkÄ-patir ivotthitaḥ

 Å›rÄ«-Å›ukaḥ uvÄca - ÅšrÄ« Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said; tasya - Bali MahÄrÄja; ittham - in this way; bhÄá¹£amÄṇasya - while describing his fortunate position; prahrÄdaḥ - MahÄrÄja PrahlÄda, his grandfather; bhagavat-priyaḥ - the most favored devotee of the Supreme Personality of Godhead; ÄjagÄma - appeared there; kuru-Å›reṣṭha - O best of the Kurus, MahÄrÄja ParÄ«ká¹£it; rÄkÄ-patiḥ - the moon; iva - like; utthitaḥ - having risen.


Text

Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said: O best of the Kurus, while Bali MahÄrÄja was describing his fortunate position in this way, the most dear devotee of the Lord, PrahlÄda MahÄrÄja, appeared there, like the moon rising in the nighttime.
