अयि व्यपश्यस्त्वमजस्य मायां
परस्य पुंसः परदेवतायाः ।
अहं कलानामृषभोऽपि मुह्ये
ययावशोऽन्ये किमुतास्वतन्त्राः ॥४३॥

ayi vyapaÅ›yas tvam ajasya mÄyÄá¹
parasya puá¹saḥ para-devatÄyÄḥ
ahaá¹ kalÄnÄm ṛṣabho 'pi muhye
yayÄvaÅ›o 'nye kim utÄsvatantrÄḥ

 ayi - oh; vyapaÅ›yaḥ - have seen; tvam - you; ajasya - of the unborn; mÄyÄm - the illusory energy; parasya puá¹saḥ - of the Supreme Person; para-devatÄyÄḥ - the Absolute Truth; aham - myself; kalÄnÄm - of plenary portions; á¹›á¹£abhaḥ - the chief; api - although; muhye - became bewildered; yayÄ - by her; avaÅ›aḥ - imperceptibly; anye - others; kim uta - what to speak of; asvatantrÄḥ - fully dependent on mÄyÄ.

Lord Åšiva said: O Goddess, you have now seen the illusory energy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is the unborn master of everyone. Although I am one of the principal expansions of His Lordship, even I was illusioned by His energy. What then is to be said of others, who are fully dependent on mÄyÄ?
