सभाजितो भगवता सादरं सोमया भवः ।
सूपविष्ट उवाचेदं प्रतिपूज्य स्मयन्हरिम् ॥३॥

sabhÄjito bhagavatÄ
sÄdaraá¹ somayÄ bhavaḥ
sÅ«paviṣṭa uvÄcedaá¹
pratipūjya smayan harim

 sabhÄjitaḥ - well received; bhagavatÄ - by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Viṣṇu; sa-Ädaram - with great respect (as befitting Lord Åšiva); sa-umayÄ - with UmÄ; bhavaḥ - Lord Åšambhu (Lord Åšiva); su-upaviṣṭaḥ - being comfortably situated; uvÄca - said; idam - this; pratipÅ«jya - offering respect; smayan - smiling; harim - unto the Lord.

The Supreme Personality of Godhead welcomed Lord Åšiva and UmÄ with great respect, and after being seated comfortably, Lord Åšiva duly worshiped the Lord and smilingly spoke as follows.
