श्रीगुरुपुत्र उवाच
न मत्प्रणीतं न परप्रणीतं
सुतो वदत्येष तवेन्द्रशत्रो ।
नैसर्गिकीयं मतिरस्य राजन्
नियच्छ मन्युं कददाः स्म मा नः ॥२८॥

Å›rÄ«-guru-putra uvÄca
na mat-praṇītaá¹ na para-praṇītaá¹
suto vadaty eṣa tavendra-śatro
naisargikÄ«yaá¹ matir asya rÄjan
niyaccha manyuá¹ kad adÄḥ sma mÄ naḥ

 Å›rÄ«-guru-putraḥ uvÄca - the son of ÅšukrÄcÄrya, HiraṇyakaÅ›ipu's spiritual master, said; na - not; mat-praṇītam - educated by me; na - nor; para-praṇītam - educated by anyone else; sutaḥ - the son (PrahlÄda); vadati - says; eá¹£aḥ - this; tava - your; indra-Å›atro - O enemy of King Indra; naisargikÄ« - natural; iyam - this; matiḥ - inclination; asya - of him; rÄjan - O King; niyaccha - give up; manyum - your anger; kat - fault; adÄḥ - attribute; sma - indeed;  - do not; naḥ - unto us.

The son of ÅšukrÄcÄrya, HiraṇyakaÅ›ipu’s spiritual master, said: O enemy of King Indra, O King! Whatever your son PrahlÄda has said was not taught to him by me or anyone else. His spontaneous devotional service has naturally developed in him. Therefore, please give up your anger and do not unnecessarily accuse us. It is not good to insult a brÄhmaṇa in this way.
