श्रीनारद उवाच
जीवात्मन् पश्य भद्रं ते मातरं पितरं च ते ।
सुहृदो बान्धवास्तप्ताः शुचा त्वत्कृतया भृशम् ॥२॥

Å›rÄ«-nÄrada uvÄca
jÄ«vÄtman paÅ›ya bhadraá¹ te
mÄtaraá¹ pitaraá¹ ca te
suhá¹›do bÄndhavÄs taptÄḥ
Å›ucÄ tvat-ká¹›tayÄ bhṛśam

 Å›rÄ«-nÄradaḥ uvÄca - ÅšrÄ« NÄrada Muni said; jÄ«va-Ätman - O living entity; paÅ›ya - just see; bhadram - good fortune; te - unto you; mÄtaram - the mother; pitaram - the father; ca - and; te - of you; suhá¹›daḥ - friends; bÄndhavÄḥ - relatives; taptÄḥ - aggrieved; Å›ucÄ - by lamentation; tvat-ká¹›tayÄ - because of you; bhṛśam - very greatly.

ÅšrÄ« NÄrada Muni said: O living entity, all good fortune unto you. Just see your father and mother. All your friends and relatives are overwhelmed with grief because of your passing away.
