तदा च खे दुन्दुभयो विनेदु
र्गन्धर्वसिद्धाः समहर्षिसङ्घाः ।
वार्त्रघ्नलिङ्गैस्तमभिष्टुवाना
मन्त्रैर्मुदा कुसुमैरभ्यवर्षन् ॥३४॥

tadÄ ca khe dundubhayo vinedur
gandharva-siddhÄḥ samahará¹£i-saá¹…ghÄḥ
vÄrtra-ghna-liá¹…gais tam abhiṣṭuvÄnÄ
mantrair mudÄ kusumair abhyavará¹£an

 tadÄ - at that time; ca - also; khe - in the higher planetary systems in the sky; dundubhayaḥ - the kettledrums; vineduḥ - sounded; gandharva - the Gandharvas; siddhÄḥ - and the Siddhas; sa-mahará¹£i-saá¹…ghÄḥ - with the assembly of saintly persons; vÄrtra-ghna-liá¹…gaiḥ - celebrating the prowess of the killer of Vá¹›trÄsura; tam - him (Indra); abhiṣṭuvÄnÄḥ - praising; mantraiḥ - by various mantras; mudÄ - with great pleasure; kusumaiḥ - with flowers; abhyavará¹£an - showered.

When Vá¹›trÄsura was killed, the Gandharvas and Siddhas in the heavenly planets beat kettledrums in jubilation. With Vedic hymns they celebrated the prowess of Indra, the killer of Vá¹›trÄsura, praising Indra and showering flowers upon him with great pleasure.
