समुपशृणोति स्वयं चेदं गायति ॥२॥
Ärá¹£á¹iá¹£eṇena saha gandharvair anugÄ«yamÄnÄá¹ parama-kalyÄṇīṠbhartá¹›-bhagavat-kathÄá¹ samupaśṛṇoti svayaá¹ cedaá¹ gÄyati
Ärá¹£á¹i-á¹£eṇena - Ä€rá¹£á¹iá¹£eṇa, the chief personality of Kimpuruá¹£a-vará¹£a; saha - with; gandharvaiḥ - by a company of Gandharvas; anugÄ«yamÄnÄm - being chanted; parama-kalyÄṇīm - most auspicious; bhartá¹›-bhagavat-kathÄm - the glories of his master, who is also the Supreme Personality of Godhead; samupaśṛṇoti - he hears with great attention; svayam ca - and personally; idam - this; gÄyati - chants.
A host of Gandharvas is always engaged in chanting the glories of Lord RÄmacandra. That chanting is always extremely auspicious. HanumÄnjÄ« and Ará¹£á¹iá¹£eṇa, the chief person in Kimpuruá¹£a-vará¹£a, constantly hear those glories with complete attention. HanumÄn chants the following mantras.
In the PurÄṇas there are two different opinions concerning Lord RÄmacandra. In the Laghu-bhÄgavatÄmá¹›ta (5.34-36) this is confirmed in the description of the incarnation of Manu.
vÄsudevÄdi-rÅ«pÄṇÄm
avatÄrÄḥ prakÄ«rtitÄḥ
viṣṇu-dharmottare rÄma-
laká¹£maṇÄdyÄḥ kramÄdamÄ«
pÄdme tu rÄmo bhagavÄn
nÄrÄyaṇa itÄ«ritaḥ
śeṣaś cakraṠca śaṅkhaś ca
kramÄt syur laká¹£maṇÄdayaḥ
madhya-deÅ›a-sthitÄyodhyÄ-
pure ’sya vasatiḥ smá¹›tÄ
mahÄ-vaikuṇá¹haloke ca
rÄghavendrasya kÄ«rtitÄ
The Viṣṇu-dharmottara describes that Lord RÄmacandra and His brothers — Laká¹£maṇa, Bharata and Åšatrughna — are incarnations of VÄsudeva, Saá¹…kará¹£aṇa, Pradyumna and Aniruddha respectively. The Padma PurÄṇa, however, says that Lord RÄmacandra is an incarnation of NÄrÄyaṇa and that the other three brothers are incarnations of Åšeá¹£a, Cakra and Åšaá¹…kha. Therefore ÅšrÄ«la Baladeva VidyÄbhÅ«á¹£aṇa has concluded, tad idaá¹ kalpa-bhedenaiva sambhÄvyam. In other words, these opinions are not contradictory. In some millenniums Lord RÄmacandra and His brothers appear as incarnations of VÄsudeva, Saá¹…kará¹£aṇa, Pradyumna and Aniruddha, and in other millenniums They appear as incarnations of NÄrÄyaṇa, Åšeá¹£a, Cakra and Åšaá¹…kha. The residence of Lord RÄmacandra on this planet is AyodhyÄ. AyodhyÄ City is still existing in the district of Faizabad, which is situated on the northern side of Uttar Pradesh.
