स इत्थमादिश्य सुरानजस्तु तैः
समन्वितः पितृभिः सप्रजेशैः ।
ययौ स्वधिष्ण्यान्निलयं पुरद्विषः
कैलासमद्रिप्रवरं प्रियं प्रभोः ॥८॥

sa ittham ÄdiÅ›ya surÄn ajas tu taiḥ
samanvitaḥ pitṛbhiḥ sa-prajeśaiḥ
yayau sva-dhiṣṇyÄn nilayaá¹ pura-dviá¹£aḥ
kailÄsam adri-pravaraá¹ priyaá¹ prabhoḥ

 saḥ - he (BrahmÄ); ittham - thus; ÄdiÅ›ya - after instructing; surÄn - the demigods; ajaḥ - Lord BrahmÄ; tu - then; taiḥ - those; samanvitaḥ - followed; pitá¹›bhiḥ - by the PitÄs; sa-prajeÅ›aiḥ - along with the lords of the living entities; yayau - went; sva-dhiṣṇyÄt - from his own place; nilayam - the abode; pura-dviá¹£aḥ - of Lord Åšiva; kailÄsam - KailÄsa; adri-pravaram - the best among mountains; priyam - dear; prabhoḥ - of the lord (Åšiva).


Text

After thus instructing all the demigods, the PitÄs and the lords of the living entities, Lord BrahmÄ took them with him and left for the abode of Lord Åšiva, known as the KailÄsa Hill.

Purport

The abode of Lord Åšiva, which is known as KailÄsa, is described in the fourteen verses which follow.
