साधुवादस्तदा तेषां कर्म तत्तस्य पश्यताम् ।
भूतप्रेतपिशाचानां अन्येषां तद्विपर्ययः ॥२५॥

anyeá¹£Äá¹ tad-viparyayaḥ

 sÄdhu-vÄdaḥ - joyful exclamation; tadÄ - at that time; teá¹£Äm - of those (followers of Lord Åšiva); karma - action; tat - that; tasya - of him (VÄ«rabhadra); paÅ›yatÄm - seeing; bhÅ«ta-preta-piÅ›ÄcÄnÄm - of the bhÅ«tas (ghosts), pretas and piÅ›Äcas; anyeá¹£Äm - of the others (in the party of Daká¹£a); tat-viparyayaḥ - the opposite of that (an exclamation of grief).

Upon seeing the action of VÄ«rabhadra, the party of Lord Åšiva was pleased and cried out joyfully, and all the bhÅ«tas, ghosts and demons that had come made a tumultuous sound. On the other hand, the brÄhmaṇas in charge of the sacrifice cried out in grief at the death of Daká¹£a.
