सहस्रोर्वङ्घ्रिबाह्वक्षः सहस्राननशीर्षवान् ॥३५॥
sa eva puruá¹£as tasmÄd
aṇá¸aá¹ nirbhidya nirgataḥ
sahasrorv-aá¹…ghri-bÄhv-aká¹£aḥ
sahasrÄnana-śīrá¹£avÄn
saḥ - He (the Lord); eva - Himself; puruá¹£aḥ - the Supreme Personality of Godhead; tasmÄt - from within the universe; aṇá¸am - Hiraṇyagarbha; nirbhidya - dividing; nirgataḥ - came out; sahasra - thousands; Å«ru - thighs; aá¹…ghri - legs; bÄhu - arms; aká¹£aḥ - eyes; sahasra - thousands of; Änana - mouths; śīrá¹£avÄn - with heads also.
The Lord [MahÄ-Viṣṇu], although lying in the Causal Ocean, came out of it, and dividing Himself as Hiraṇyagarbha, He entered into each universe and assumed the virÄá¹-rÅ«pa, with thousands of legs, arms, mouths, heads, etc.
The expansions of the planetary systems within each and every universe are situated in the different parts of the virÄá¹-rÅ«pa (universal form) of the Lord, and they are described as follows.
