 tasya - while he; ekadÄ - one day; bhá¹›gu-Å›reṣṭha - O best of the descendants of Bhá¹›gu; puá¹£pabhadrÄ-taá¹­e - on the bank of the river Puá¹£pabhadrÄ; muneḥ - the sage; upÄsÄ«nasya - was performing worship; sandhyÄyÄm - at the juncture of the day; brahman - O brÄhmaṇa; vÄyuḥ - a wind; abhÅ«t - arose; mahÄn - great.

O brÄhmaṇa Åšaunaka, best of the Bhá¹›gus, one day while MÄrkaṇá¸eya was performing his evening worship on the bank of the Puá¹£pabhadrÄ, a great wind suddenly arose.
