 ká¹›taḥ - Ká¹›ta; hiraṇyanÄbhasya - of HiraṇyanÄbha; catuḥ-vimÅ›ati - twenty-four; saá¹hitÄḥ - collections; Å›iá¹£yaḥ - the disciple; Å«ce - spoke; sva-Å›iá¹£yebhyaḥ - to his own disciples; Å›eá¹£Äḥ - the remaining (collections); Ävantyaḥ - Ä€vantya; Ätma-vÄn - the self-controlled.

Ká¹›ta, the disciple of HiraṇyanÄbha, spoke twenty-four saá¹hitÄs to his own disciples, and the remaining collections were passed down by the self-realized sage Ä€vantya.
