piṇá¸e vÄyv-agni-samÅ›uddhe
há¹›t-padma-sthÄá¹ parÄá¹ mama
aṇvīṠjÄ«va-kalÄá¹ dhyÄyen
nÄdÄnte siddha-bhÄvitÄm
piṇá¸e - within the body; vÄyu - by air; agni - and by fire; samÅ›uddhe - which has become completely purified; há¹›t - of the heart; padma - upon the lotus; sthÄm - situated; parÄm - the transcendental form; mama - of Mine; aṇvÄ«m - very subtle; jÄ«va-kalÄm - the Personality of Godhead, from whom all living entities expand; dhyÄyet - he should meditate upon; nÄda-ante - at the end of the vibration of oá¹; siddha - by perfected sages; bhÄvitÄm - experienced.
According to ÅšrÄ«la ÅšrÄ«dhara SvÄmÄ«, the praṇava, or oá¹kÄra, has five parts: A, U, M, the nasal bindu and the reverberation (nÄda). Liberated souls meditate upon the Lord at the end of that reverberation.
