Å›rÄ«-bÄdarÄyaṇir uvÄca
sa evam ÄÅ›aá¹sita uddhavena
bhÄgavata-mukhyena dÄÅ›Ärha-mukhyaḥ
sabhÄjayan bhá¹›tya-vaco mukundas
tam ÄbabhÄá¹£e Å›ravaṇīya-vÄ«ryaḥ

 Å›rÄ«-bÄdarÄyaṇiḥ uvÄca - ÅšrÄ« Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said; saḥ - He; evam - thus; ÄÅ›aá¹sitaḥ - respectfully requested; uddhavena - by Uddhava; bhÄgavata - of the devotees; mukhyena - by the greatest; dÄÅ›Ärha - of the dynasty of DÄÅ›Ärha (the Yadus); mukhyaḥ - the chief; sabhÄjayan - praising; bhá¹›tya - of His servant; vacaḥ - the words; mukundaḥ - Lord Mukunda, Kṛṣṇa; tam - to him; ÄbabhÄá¹£e - began to speak; Å›ravaṇīya - most worthy of hearing about; vÄ«ryaḥ - whose omnipotency.

Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said: Lord Mukunda, the chief of the DÄÅ›Ärhas, having thus been respectfully requested by the best of His devotees, ÅšrÄ« Uddhava, first acknowledged the fitness of his servant’s statements. Then the Lord, whose glorious exploits are most worthy of being heard, began to reply to him.
