 aho - alas; me - my; pitarau - parents; vá¹›ddhau - elderly; bhÄryÄ - wife; bÄla-Ätma-jÄ - having a mere infant in her arms; ÄtmÄ-jÄḥ - and my other young children; anÄthÄḥ - with no one to protect them; mÄm - me; á¹›te - without; dÄ«nÄḥ - wretched; katham - how in the world; jÄ«vanti - can they live; duḥkhitÄḥ - suffering greatly.

“O my poor elderly parents, and my wife with a mere infant in her arms, and my other young children! Without me they have absolutely no one to protect them and will suffer unbearably. How can my poor relatives possibly live without me?â€
