 saḥ - He (Pradyumna); rukmiṇaḥ - of RukmÄ« (the oldest brother of Rukmiṇī); duhitaram - the daughter, RukmavatÄ«; upayeme - married; mahÄ-rathaḥ - the great chariot warrior; tasyÄm - in her; tataḥ - then; aniruddhaḥ - Aniruddha; abhÅ«t - was born; nÄga - of elephants; ayuta - ten thousand; bala - with the strength; anvitaḥ - endowed.


Text

The great warrior Pradyumna married Rukmī’s daughter [Rukmavatī], who gave birth to Aniruddha. He was as strong as ten thousand elephants.
