Å›rÄ«-Å›uka uvÄca
sa itthaá¹ prabhunÄdiṣṭaḥ
saha-kṛṣṇÄn dvijottamÄn
ÄrÄdhyaikÄtma-bhÄvena
maithilaÅ› cÄpa sad-gatim

 Å›rÄ«-Å›ukaḥ uvÄca - Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said; saḥ - he (Åšrutadeva); ittham - in this manner; prabhunÄ - by his Lord; Ädiṣṭaḥ - instructed; saha - accompanying; kṛṣṇÄn - Lord Kṛṣṇa; dvija - the brÄhmaṇas; uttamÄn - most exalted; ÄrÄdhya - by worshiping; eka-Ätma - single-minded; bhavena - with devotion; maithilaḥ - the King of MithilÄ; ca - also; Äpa - attained; sat - transcendental; gatim - the ultimate destination.

ÅšrÄ« Åšuka said: So instructed by his Lord, with single-minded devotion Åšrutadeva worshiped ÅšrÄ« Kṛṣṇa and the topmost brÄhmaṇas accompanying Him, and King BahulÄÅ›va did the same. Thus both Åšrutadeva and the King attained the ultimate transcendental destination.
