mayeÅ›e ná¹›pa-yÅ«thapÄḥ
na sehire yÄjñaseni
spardhanto há¹›c-chayÄturÄḥ

 evam - thus; vá¹›te - being chosen; bhagavati - the Personality of Godhead; mayÄ - by me; Ä«Å›e - the Lord; ná¹›pa - of kings; yÅ«tha-pÄḥ - the leaders; na sehire - could not tolerate it; yÄjñaseni - O DraupadÄ«; spardhantaḥ - becoming quarrelsome; há¹›t-Å›aya - by lust; ÄturÄḥ - distressed.

The leading kings there could not tolerate my having chosen the Supreme Personality of Godhead, O Draupadī. Burning with lust, they became quarrelsome.

ÅšrÄ«la ÅšrÄ«dhara SvÄmÄ« comments that the contamination of lust led the kings to quarrel foolishly with the Lord even after seeing His supreme power.
