 atha - then; taiḥ - by them; abhyanujñÄtaḥ - given leave; kauÅ›ikÄ«m - to the KauÅ›ikÄ« River; etya - coming; brÄhmaṇaiḥ - with brÄhmaṇas; snÄtvÄ - bathing; sarovaram - to the lake; agÄt - went; yataḥ - from which; sarayūḥ - the SarayÅ« River; Äsravat - flows out.

Then, given leave by the sages, the Lord went with a contingent of brÄhmaṇas to the KauÅ›ikÄ« River, where He bathed. From there He went to the lake from which flows the river SarayÅ«.
