kṛṣṇa kṛṣṇa mahā-bāho
pitā te pitṛ-vatsala
baddhvāpanītaḥ śālvena
saunikena yathā paśuḥ

 kṛṣṇa kṛṣṇa - O Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa; mahā-bāho - O mighty-armed one; pitā - father; te - Your; pitṛ - to Your parents; vatsala - O You who are so affectionate; baddhvā - being captured; apanÄŤtaḼ - taken away; Ĺ›Älvena - by Śālva; saunikena - by a butcher; yathā - as; paśuḼ - a domestic animal.


Text

[The man said:] O Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa, mighty-armed one, who are so affectionate to Your parents! Śālva has seized Your father and taken him away, as a butcher leads an animal to slaughter.
