dudruvur jīvitaiṣiṇaḥ

 Å›abdaḥ - a sound; kolÄhalaḥ - uproar; atha - thereupon; ÄsÄ«t - there was; Å›iÅ›upÄle - ÅšiÅ›upÄla; hate - being killed; mahÄn - huge; tasya - his; anuyÄyinaḥ - followers; bhÅ«pÄḥ - kings; dudruvuḥ - fled; jÄ«vita - their lives; eá¹£iṇaḥ - hoping to save.


Text

When ÅšiÅ›upÄla was thus killed, a great roar and howl went up from the crowd. Taking advantage of that disturbance, the few kings who were supporters of ÅšiÅ›upÄla quickly left the assembly out of fear for their lives.
