evaṠsuhṛdbhiḥ paryastaḥ
puṇya-Å›loka-Å›ikhÄmaṇiḥ
saá¹stÅ«yamÄno bhagavÄn
viveÅ›Älaá¹…ká¹›taá¹ puram

 evam - thus; su-há¹›dbhiḥ - by His well-wishing relatives; paryastaḥ - surrounded; puṇya-Å›loka - of persons of pious renown; Å›ikhÄ-maṇiḥ - the crest jewel; saá¹stÅ«yamÄnaḥ - being glorified; bhagavÄn - the Supreme Lord; viveÅ›a - entered; alaá¹…ká¹›tam - decorated; puram - the city.


Text

Thus surrounded by His well-wishing relatives and praised on all sides, Lord Kṛṣṇa, the crest jewel of the justly renowned, entered the decorated city.

Purport

ÅšrÄ«la PrabhupÄda writes: “While Lord Kṛṣṇa was entering the city, all the people were talking amongst themselves about the glories of the Lord, praising His transcendental name, quality, form, etc.â€
