 duryodhanaḥ - Duryodhana; pÄribarham - as a dowry; kuñjarÄn - elephants; á¹£aṣṭi - sixty; hÄyanÄn - years old; dadau - gave; ca - and; dvÄdaÅ›a - twelve; Å›atÄni - hundred; ayutÄni - tens of thousands; turaá¹…gamÄn - horses; rathÄnÄm - of chariots; á¹£aá¹­-sahasrÄṇi - six thousand; raukmÄṇÄm - golden; sÅ«rya - (like) the sun; varcasÄm - whose effulgence; dÄsÄ«nÄm - of maidservants; niá¹£ka - jeweled lockets; kaṇṭthÄ«nÄm - on whose throats; sahasram - one thousand; duhitá¹› - for his daughter; vatsalaḥ - having fatherly affection.

Duryodhana, being very affectionate to his daughter, gave as her dowry 1,200 sixty-year-old elephants, 120,000 horses, 6,000 golden chariots shining like the sun, and 1,000 maidservants with jeweled lockets on their necks.
