sudaká¹£iṇaḥ - named Sudaká¹£iṇa; tasya - his (KÄÅ›irÄja's); sutaḥ - son; ká¹›tvÄ - executing; saá¹sthÄ-vidhim - the funeral rituals; pateḥ - of his father; nihatya - by killing; pitá¹› - of my father; hantÄram - the killer; yÄsyÄmi - I will achieve; apacitim - revenge; pituḥ - for my father; iti - thus; ÄtmanÄ - with his intelligence; abhisandhÄya - deciding; sa - with; upÄdhyÄyaḥ - priests; mahÄ-īśvaram - the great Lord Åšiva; su-daká¹£iṇaḥ - being very charitable; arcayÄm Äsa - he worshiped; parameṇa - with great; samÄdhinÄ - attention.
ÅšrÄ«la PrabhupÄda writes: “The lord of the kingdom of KÄÅ›i is ViÅ›vanÄtha (Lord Åšiva). The temple of Lord ViÅ›vanÄtha is still existing in VÄrÄṇasÄ«, and many thousands of pilgrims still gather daily in that temple.â€
