iti - thus speaking; prahasitam - the laughter; Å›aureḥ - of Lord Kṛṣṇa; jalpitam - the pleasing conversations; cÄru - attractive; vÄ«ká¹£itam - the glances; gatim - the walking; prema - loving; pariá¹£vaá¹…gam - the embrace; smarantyaḥ - remembering; ruruduḥ - cried; striyaḥ - the women.
ÅšrÄ«la ViÅ›vanÄtha CakravartÄ« comments as follows: “The gopÄ«s thought, ‘The Kṛṣṇa moon, after piercing our hearts with the darts of His nectarean laughter, went away. So how will the city women not die when He does the same to them?’ Overwhelmed with these thoughts, the young cowherd girls began to cry, even in the presence of ÅšrÄ« Baladeva.â€
