 bÄṇasya - of BÄṇa; mantrÄ« - the minister; kumbhÄṇá¸aḥ - KumbhÄṇá¸a; CitralekhÄ - citralekhÄ; ca - and; tat - his; sutÄ - daughter; sakhÄ« - the girlfriend; apá¹›cchat - she asked; sakhÄ«m - her girÄ«friend; Å«á¹£Äm - ŪṣÄ; kautÅ«hala - with curiosity; samanvitÄ - full.


Text

BÄṇÄsura had a minister named KumbhÄṇá¸a, whose daughter was CitralekhÄ. A companion of ŪṣÄ’s, she was filled with curiosity, and thus she inquired from her friend.
