bÄṇasya tanayÄm ūṣÄm
upayeme yadūttamaḥ
tatra yuddham abhÅ«d ghoraá¹
hari-śaṅkarayor mahat
etat sarvaá¹ mahÄ-yogin
samÄkhyÄtuá¹ tvam arhasi
Å›rÄ«-rÄjÄ uvÄca - the King (ParÄ«ká¹£it MahÄrÄja) said; bÄṇasya - of the demon BÄṇa; tanayÄm - the daughter; ūṣÄm - named ŪṣÄ; upayeme - married; yadu-uttamaḥ - the best of the Yadus (Aniruddha); tatra - in connection with that; yuddham - a battle; abhÅ«t - occurred; ghoram - fearsome; hari-Å›aá¹…karayoḥ - between Lord Hari (Kṛṣṇa) and Lord Åšaá¹…kara (Åšiva); mahat - great; etat - this; sarvam - all; mahÄ-yogin - O great mystic; samÄkhyÄtum - to explain; tvam - you; arhasi - deserve.
