tÄm anÄdá¹›tya vaidarbho
duṣṭa-rÄjanya-coditaḥ
saṅkarṣaṇaṠparihasan
babhÄá¹£e kÄla-coditaḥ

 tÄm - that (voice); anÄdá¹›tya - disregarding; vaidarbhaḥ - RukmÄ«, Prince of Vidarbha; duṣṭa - wicked; rÄjanya - by the kings; coditaḥ - urged on; saá¹…kará¹£aṇam - to Lord BalarÄma; parihasan - ridiculing; babhÄá¹£e - he spoke; kÄla - by the force of time; coditaḥ - impelled.

Urged on by the wicked kings, RukmÄ« ignored the divine voice. In fact destiny itself was urging RukmÄ« on, and thus he ridiculed Lord BalarÄma as follows.
