tam Äha bhagavÄn hṛṣṭaḥ
ká¹›tÄsana-parigrahaḥ
megha-gambhÄ«rayÄ vÄcÄ
sa-smitaá¹ kuru-nandana

 Å›rÄ«-Å›ukaḥ uvÄca - Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said; tam - to him; Äha - said; bhagavÄn - the Supreme Lord; hṛṣṭaḥ - pleased; ká¹›ta - having done; Äsana - of a seat; parigrahaḥ - the acceptance; megha - like a cloud; gambhÄ«rayÄ - deep; vÄcÄ - in a voice; sa - with; smitam - a smile; kuru - of the Kurus; nandana - O beloved descendant.

Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said: O beloved descendant of Kuru, the Supreme Lord was pleased, and after accepting a comfortable seat He smiled and addressed the King in a voice as deep as the rumbling of a cloud.
