puram ÄnÄ«ya vidhi-vad
upayeme kurūdvaha

 bhagavÄn - the Supreme Lord; bhīṣmaka-sutÄm - the daughter of Bhīṣmaka; evam - thus; nirjitya - defeating; bhÅ«mi-pÄn - the kings; puram - to His capital; ÄnÄ«ya - bringing; vidhi-vat - in accordance with the injunctions of the Vedas; upayeme - married; kuru-udvaha - O protector of the Kurus.

Thus defeating all the opposing kings, the Supreme Personality of Godhead brought the daughter of Bhīṣmaka to His capital and married her according to the Vedic injunctions, O protector of the Kurus.
