dharmeṇa pÄlayann urvÄ«á¹
prajÄḥ śīlena rañjayan
vartamÄnaḥ samaḥ sveá¹£u

 dharmeṇa - religiously; pÄlayan - protecting; urvÄ«m - the earth; prajÄḥ - the citizens; Å›Ä«lena - by good character; rañjayan - delighting; vartamÄnaḥ - remaining; samaḥ - equally disposed; sveá¹£u - to your relatives; Å›reyaḥ - perfection; kÄ«rtim - glory; avÄpsyasi - you will achieve.

By religiously protecting the earth, delighting your subjects with your noble character, and treating all your relatives equally, you will surely achieve success and glory.

AkrÅ«ra told Dhá¹›tarÄṣṭra that even though he had usurped the throne, if he now ruled according to the principles of dharma and behaved properly, he could be successful.
