papÄta viÅ›vÄÅ›raya Ätma-tantraḥ
pragá¹›hya - grabbing; keÅ›eá¹£u - by the hair; calat - knocking off; kirÄ«á¹am - whose crown; nipÄtya - throwing down; raá¹…ga-upari - onto the surface of the wrestling ring; tuá¹…ga - high; mañcÄt - from the platform; tasya - of him; upariá¹£á¹Ät - on top; svayam - Himself; abja-nÄbhaḥ - the lotus-naveled Supreme Lord; papÄta - threw; viÅ›va - of the entire universe; ÄÅ›rayaḥ - the support; Ätma-tantraḥ - independent.
In Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, ÅšrÄ«la PrabhupÄda describes the death of Kaá¹sa as follows: “Kṛṣṇa at once straddled his chest and began to strike him over and over again. Simply from the strokes of His fist, Kaá¹sa lost his vital force.â€
