 bhagavat - of the Supreme Lord; gÄtra - by the limbs; niá¹£pÄtaiḥ - due to the blows; vajra - of lightning; niá¹£peá¹£a - like a crushing stroke; niṣṭhuraiḥ - hard; cÄṇūraḥ - CÄṇūra; bhajyamÄna - being broken; aá¹…gaḥ - his entire body; muhuḥ - more and more; glÄnim - pain and fatigue; avÄpa ha - felt.


Text

The harsh blows from the Supreme Lord’s limbs fell like crushing lightning bolts upon CÄṇūra, breaking every part of his body and causing him more and more pain and fatigue.

Purport

CÄṇūra’s elbows, arms, knees and other limbs were all weakening.
