etau bhagavataḥ sÄká¹£Äd
dharer nÄrÄyaṇasya hi
avatÄ«rṇÄv ihÄmÅ›ena
vasudevasya veśmani

 etau - these two; bhagavataḥ - of the Supreme Lord; sÄká¹£Ät - directly; hareḥ - of Lord Hari; nÄrÄyaṇasya - NÄrÄyaṇa; hi - certainly; avatÄ«rṇau - have descended; iha - to this world; amÅ›ena - as expansions; vasudevasya - of Vasudeva; veÅ›mani - in the home.

[The people said:] These two boys are certainly expansions of the Supreme Lord NÄrÄyaṇa who have descended to this world in the home of Vasudeva.
