vasitvātma-priye vastre
kṛṣṇaḥ saṅkarṣaṇas tathā
śeṣāṇy ādatta gopebhyo
visṛjya bhuvi kānicit

 vasitvā - dressing Himself; Ätma-priye - which He liked; vastre - in a pair of garments; kṛṣṇaḼ - Kṛṣṇa; saṅkarᚣaṇaḼ - Balarāma; tathā - also; Ĺ›eṣāṇi - the rest; Ädatta - He gave; gopebhyaḼ - to the cowherd boys; visṛjya - throwing away; bhuvi - on the ground; kānicit - several.


Text

Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma put on pairs of garments that especially pleased Them, and then Kṛṣṇa distributed the remaining clothes among the cowherd boys, leaving some scattered on the ground.
