 Äpaḥ - the water (namely, the river Ganges); te - Your; aá¹…ghri - of the feet; avanejanyaḥ - coming from the bathing; trÄ«n - the three; lokÄn - worlds; Å›ucayaḥ - being purely spiritual; apunan - has purified; Å›irasÄ - on his head; Ädhatta - has taken; yÄḥ - which; Å›arvaḥ - Lord Siva; svaḥ - to heaven; yÄtÄḥ - went; sagara-ÄtmajÄḥ - the sons of King Sagara.

The water of the river Ganges has purified the three worlds, having become transcendental by bathing Your feet. Lord Śiva accepted that water on his head, and by that water’s grace the sons of King Sagara attained to heaven.
