Å›rÄ«-Å›uka uvÄca
pṛṣṭo bhagavatÄ sarvaá¹
varṇayÄm Äsa mÄdhavaḥ
vairÄnubandhaá¹ yaduá¹£u
vasudeva-vadhodyamam

 Å›rÄ«-Å›ukaḥ uvÄca - Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said; pṛṣṭaḥ - requested; bhagavatÄ - by the Supreme Lord; sarvam - everything; varṇayÄm Äsa - described; mÄdhavaḥ - AkrÅ«ra, descendant of Madhu; vaira-anubandham - the inimical attitude; yaduá¹£u - toward the Yadus; vasudeva - Vasudeva; vadha - to murder; udyamam - the attempt.

Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said: In response to the Supreme Lord’s request, AkrÅ«ra, the descendant of Madhu, described the whole situation, including King Kaá¹sa’s enmity toward the Yadus and his attempt to murder Vasudeva.
