 gopyaḥ - the cowherd girls; tÄḥ - they; tat - then; upaÅ›rutya - hearing; babhÅ«vuḥ - became; vyathitÄḥ - distressed; bhṛśam - extremely; rÄma-kṛṣṇau - BalarÄma and Kṛṣṇa; purÄ«m - to the city; netum - to take; akrÅ«ram - AkrÅ«ra; vrajam - to Vá¹›ndÄvana; Ägatam - come.

When the young gopÄ«s heard that AkrÅ«ra had come to Vraja to take Kṛṣṇa and BalarÄma to the city, they became extremely distressed.
