tasya tat karma vijùāya
kṛṣṇaḥ śaraṇa-daḥ satām
gopān nayantaᚁ jagrāha
vṛkaṁ harir ivaujasā

 tasya - of him, Vyomāsura; tat - that; karma - activity; vijùāya - fully understanding; kṛṣṇaḼ - Lord Kṛṣṇa; Ĺ›araṇa - of shelter; daḼ - the giver; satām - to saintly devotees; gopān - cowherd boys; nayantam - who was leading; jagrāha - He seized; vṛkam - a wolf; ojasā - forcefully.


Text

Lord Kṛṣṇa, who shelters all saintly devotees, understood perfectly well what Vyomāsura was doing. Just as a lion grabs a wolf, Kṛṣṇa forcefully seized the demon as he was taking away more cowherd boys.
