bhagavÄn api tad vÄ«ká¹£ya
go-kulaá¹ bhaya-vidrutam
mÄ bhaiṣṭeti girÄÅ›vÄsya
vṛṣÄsuram upÄhvayat

 bhagavÄn - the Supreme Personality of Godhead; api - indeed; tat - that; vÄ«ká¹£ya - seeing; go-kulam - the cowherd community; bhaya - out of fear; vidrutam - made to flee, or distraught; mÄ bhaiṣṭa - 'don't be afraid'; iti - thus; girÄ - with words; ÄÅ›vÄsya - pacifying; vṛṣa-asuram - to the bull demon; upÄhvayat - He called out.

When the Supreme Lord saw the cowherd community distraught and fleeing in fear, He calmed them, saying, “Don’t be afraid.†Then He called out to the bull demon as follows.
