anvicchantyo bhagavato
mÄrgaá¹ gopyo 'vidÅ«ritaḥ
dadṛśuḥ priya-viÅ›leá¹£Än
mohitÄá¹ duḥkhitÄá¹ sakhÄ«m

 Å›rÄ«-Å›ukaḥ uvÄca - ÅšrÄ« Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said; anvicchantyaḥ - searching out; bhagavataḥ - of the Supreme Personality of Godhead; mÄrgam - the path; gopyaḥ - the gopÄ«s; avidÅ«ritaḥ - not far away; dadṛśuḥ - saw; priya - from Her beloved; viÅ›leá¹£Ät - because of the separation; mohitÄm - bewildered; duḥkhitÄm - unhappy; sakhÄ«m - their friend.

Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said: While continuing to search out Kṛṣṇa’s path, the gopÄ«s discovered their unhappy friend close by. She was bewildered by separation from Her lover.
