tadoá¸urÄjaḥ kakubhaḥ karair mukhaá¹
prÄcyÄ vilimpann aruṇena Å›antamaiḥ
sa cará¹£aṇīnÄm udagÄc chuco má¹›jan
priyaḥ priyÄyÄ iva dÄ«rgha-darÅ›anaḥ
tadÄ - at that time; uá¸u-rÄjaḥ - the moon, king of the stars; kakubhaḥ - of the horizon; karaiḥ - with his 'hands' (rays); mukham - the face; prÄcyÄḥ - eastern; vilimpan - smearing; aruṇena - with reddish color; Å›am-tamaiḥ - (his rays) which give great comfort; saḥ - he; cará¹£aṇīnÄm - of all those who watched; udagÄt - rose; Å›ucaḥ - the unhappiness; má¹›jan - wiping away; priyaḥ - a beloved husband; priyÄyÄḥ - of his beloved wife; iva - as; dÄ«rgha - after a long time; darÅ›anaḥ - being seen again.
The moon then rose, anointing the face of the eastern horizon with the reddish hue of his comforting rays, and thus dispelling the pain of all who watched him rise. The moon was like a beloved husband who returns after a long absence and adorns the face of his beloved wife with red kuá¹…kuma.
Young Kṛṣṇa engaged His internal potency, and she immediately created an exciting atmosphere for conjugal love.
