tÄá¹…ra praṇaya-roá¹£a dekhite prabhura icchÄ haya
aiÅ›varya-jñÄne tÄá¹…ra roá¹£a nÄhi upajaya
tÄá¹…ra - his; praṇaya-roá¹£a - affectionate anger; dekhite - to see; prabhura - of ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu; icchÄ haya - there is a desire; aiÅ›varya-jñÄne - due to knowledge of opulences; tÄá¹…ra - his; roá¹£a - anger; nÄhi - not; upajaya - is awakened.
Lord ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu sometimes desired to see GadÄdhara Paṇá¸ita’s affectionate anger, but because of his knowledge of the Lord’s opulences, his anger was never invoked.
Joking with RukmiṇīdevÄ« in DvÄrakÄ, Kṛṣṇa once advised her to accept another husband because He was unfit for her. RukmiṇīdevÄ«, however, unable to understand His joking words, took them very seriously and immediately fell to the ground in fear of separation from Him. In the pastimes of Lord ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu, JagadÄnanda Paṇá¸ita was always in disagreement with the Lord like SatyabhÄmÄ, whereas GadÄdhara Paṇá¸ita was always awed by the Lord’s opulence and was therefore submissive to the Lord under all circumstances.
